Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • Ice water (for the ice bath)

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 270°F (130°C) and allow it to preheat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Arrange the eggs: Place the eggs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded or touching each other.
Cook the eggs: Set the timer for 13-17 minutes, depending on how you prefer your yolks:For slightly soft yolks, cook for 13-14 minutes. For fully set yolks, cook for 16-17 minutes.
  • Prepare an ice bath:
While the eggs are cooking, fill a bowl with cold water and ice.
  • Cool the eggs:
Once the air fryer cycle is complete, carefully transfer the eggs into the ice bath using tongs or a slotted spoon. Let them cool for about 5 minutes to stop the cooking process.
  • Peel and serve:
Once cooled, gently crack the eggs and peel away the shells. Enjoy them immediately, or refrigerate for up to one week.

Notes

  • Egg freshness: Fresher eggs can be harder to peel. If possible, use eggs that are a few days old for easier peeling.
  • Temperature consistency: Cooking time may vary slightly depending on the air fryer model. It’s a good idea to do a test batch to find your perfect timing.
  • Ice bath importance: Don’t skip the ice bath! It stops the eggs from overcooking and makes peeling much easier.
